There are elves in the Inn!
How fun is this?  There is a transformation taking place in the entry way.  I wonder what Jesus & Joseph are thinking of the decorations that are being put up?  I think being in Palmyra NY for Christmas may be a astonishing experience!
The nativity is on the table by the entry
Santa can come down the chimney because the fireplace is not working!
Beautiful spray on entry table.  The tree is awesome!
This little scene is next to the fireplace.
Our Family Home Evening with the new missionaries: The Chamberlains from Lehi, UT; The Roundys from Ivins UT; The Mortensens from Sanford, CO; The McGarrys from Pingree, ID; The Sanders from Midway, UT; The Kruckenbergs from Pleasant Grove, UT
 The McGhies from Texas
 The Neeleys from Newhall, CA
 The Neeleys from SLC, UT
We had a great welcome for all the new missionaries...as our hearts thought about all our summer missionaries that will be reading this too...miss you.
The cardiologist told our daughter that he wants her to hold off on her surgery till they perfect another wire that they run to the heart, that has less metal or something in it.  He said she will be in no danger but should get it done before she gets too old and has a blood clot that tries to go through the chambers...or something like that?  He did tell her that her headaches won't get better till she fixes this problem though...so she will probably get surgery next spring or fall after we return home. ..Never ending story.  We want to make sure she gets to enjoy this posterity for a long time!
Happy Thanksgiving to all on Thursday, 27 November 2014.  Elder Bushman took some wonderful photos of The Sacred Grove this morning.

Smith cabin:

This afternoon we went to our Thanksgiving feast with the missionaries in the basement of the Temple Presidents home.  President and Sister Broadbent were there with us and Sister Broadbent made homemade rolls that filled the home with a wonderous smell as we entered.  Thank you both for the lovely afternoon.
Elder and Sister John Neeley were in charge and did a fantastic job...it was just a lovely dinner with our "family" of missionaries.  Thank you both for all you did to make our Holiday so festive.

Competition got the domino's almost to the ceiling before they toppled to the ground.
Elder Bushman is settled on the Inn couch watching football as I write this.  Our missionary Thanksgiving was fine for a bunch of The Lord's older Servants.  "Here we are as in olden days, Happy Golden Days of yore..." music by Hugh Martin...lyricist Ralph Blane in 1943  Now we focus on The Saviors Birth and this glorious area where He and Our Heavenly Father appeared to Joseph Smith when he chose to pray in that Sacred Grove.
"Hang a shining star upon the highest bough"

The Sister Missionaries taught our Sunday School class yesterday.  The lesson was on using media correctly.  They asked the youth to explain hashtag in a way that a #70 year old would understand!  I was in shock that she was talking about Elder Bushman and I #aging soon!  Ha!
Where does it say hashtag?
All our Students are "tecky".  They are going to be teaching the adult class next week!

We hope each of you enjoyed lots of turkey and had a fun week.  We are enjoying watching the BYU sports when we are available and off from serving in the temple.  As November winds down we are thankful for all we have and are.  We wish each of you all Christmas Blessings that Christ was born to bring.
